CHALALAN 4 DAYS - 3 NIGHTS
Day 1 La Paz - Rurrenabaque
We will go to the airport to take the airplane to Rurrenabaque. The flight offers a beautiful view at the Cordillera Real de los Andes. The plane flies over Illimani and Huanyna Potosí and will go down past the Yungas arriving in the Amazonia region. The flight is approximately 55 minutes.
Arrival and check-in at the hotel where we will stay for the night.
Day 2 Rurrenabaque - Chalalán Madidi National Park
We start our tour from Rurrenabaque, taking a small boat on the Beni river.
During the trip we will enjoy the spectacular landscape of the Serranía del Bala and then we will continue on the Tuichi river. After 5 hours we arrive at Chalalán.
After a half an hour walk from the Tuichi river we will arrive at the lake.
After relaxing we will take a canoeing tour to observe the birds and make pictures of the scene at dusk which is often full of various species of colorful macaws including the red-green and blue-yellow species, which come to the lake from other parts of the forest to breed and preen.
Day 3 Chalalan
Early breakfast and a morning hike. During this hike, the local guides will point out wildlife, including birds and mammals. In the afternoon we will visit the Mirador from which we will see the landscape which is surrounded by the Chalalán lake and the Serranía del Mamuque.
Return to the refuge.
Day 4 Chalalan - Rurrenabaque - La Paz
After an early breakfast we go in our small boat to Rurrenabaque. The return trip is quick as we will be going downstream and we will fly back to La Paz.
