SAMAIPATA
FULL DAY··>
We begin with a departure at 8:00am to Samaipata, about 120 km from Santa Cruz. The road takes us through the mountainous Andean areas called "Volcanes" (the Volcanoes) and brings us to El Fuerte. This archeological site was built for magic rites by a pre-Incan culture. We also visit the archeological museum and going to swim in the las Cuevas and el Chorro waterfalls.

SAMAIPATA - AMBORO NATIONAL PARK SOUTHERN ZONE
2 DAYS - 1 NIGHT
DAY 1 SANTA CRUZ - SAMAIPATA
Going along the Piraí River we will ascend to the mountainous sandstone area at about 2.000 meters. Here we will see one of America's most important archeological sites, "El Fuerte del Samaipata".
The ancient and solitary ceremonial center which conserves the geometric symbols and fossils, for example the 3 animals (Jaguar, Ostrich and the enormous rattlesnake that grows over 30 meters in length) according to the

legend, represent a joint agreement between the tribes of the region there. We leave this lonely and majestic archeological temple far Samaipata where we will relax in the cabañas on the hillside of the mountain and have dinner and overnight.
DAY 2 SAMAIPATA - CLOUD FOREST - AMBORO NATIONAL PARK
This visit is to the south side of Amboro National Park.
The cloud forest is characterized by enormous ferntrees that grow to over 10 meters. They are ancient plants from over 300 million years ago.
We will walk through the forest which has a colorful and diverse fauna with a high number of humming birds and a numerous of endemic species which only live in this rare ecosystem.
In the late afternoon we will return to Santa Cruz.
